Rekonvaleszens
“Rekonvaleszens” is a photobook project started in 2014 and finished in 2015. It deals with separation phases that most people go through after a loved one breaks up with them. In a combination of still-life photographs and subjective snapshots, Luisa Hanika gives emotions a face and visualizes her own personal memories. The process of separation and the emotional transformation are illustrated by the use of light, colors and abstractions. Also the emotional transformation during the process is displayed. All images are combined in a book, which is divided into four chapters. Each chapter starts with texts by Bonny-Lycen Henze. In that sense the project is also a collaboration between photography and text and provides multiple point of reference to the topic.
