I entered a competition on YCN to design a print for the famous brand Cath Kidston. I spent some time thinking of themes that kept in with the over all British appearance that Cath Kidston has. The brief was also to create a conversational design rather than her trade mark floral style. I looked at some of her conversational designs where she has images of London and birds etc. as inspiration. I came up with my first theme 'Rainy Days' as it is something Britain is well known for. My second theme was 'Afternoon Tea' also something Britain is known for.

 

The Rainy Days print was exhibited in Cath Kidstons London store with the final 12 students, I was very pleased with the feedback and that so many people liked my design.
