Berry Forest - A Digital Toy For Children
Two designers and two programmers formed a small team called Kanjo Arts in 2013. And yes, we decided to make our first App "Berry Forest" - a small toy/game for children. We tried a different yet fun approach in this project, instead of using pure digital art, we used clay! All the game assets are first modeled with toy clay, filmed with camera, then cut into pieces in Photoshop so they can be animated later in the game.
My role in this project was Art direction, as well as clay modeling, animation, graphic design, web design etc.
The App was launched in App store for iPhone and iPad after 6 months of work, and won some small awards. Although look from now, there are many things which can probably be improved, and we might do things differently here and there. But the most important thing is that we did enjoy making this little App, and many kids enjoyed playing it as well!
