HelpfulBoxes

HelpfulBoxes is a collection of three intelligent boxes, which was created for the Mayday exhibition “Home, smart home”. This exhibition was held for the Interface design course at Ewha W. University, Seoul. We analyzed the usage pattern of storage boxes and found issues that irritate the users, and this lead us to create three concepts that would improve the user experience of storage boxes.

Remembox:
This box remember what you put inside by recording your voice. Later, if you touch the box it will tell you what is inside.

Stretchy box:
This box allow you to create more space for your items. If there is no more room because the box is filled up, it will stretch so that the items fit inside.

Humidity box:
To prevent stored items from mold, this box tells you the amount of humidity inside. The humidity is checked constantly, and blue lights will indicate how humid it is.
Exhibited in the "Artistic Trajectories” Juvenarte Exhibition held by Ansa the 17th of September 2015.
