POLET was a project which had been conceptualized as a compilation of abundant visual material – newspaper ads published in the weekly of “Ekonomska politika (Economic Policy)” from 1969 to 1980. This served to demonstrate the vigor and enthusiasm omnipresent in Yugoslavia at the time, not only in the field of design, but also on a wider social scale.

We tried to revisit the entire advertising heritage of the socialist Yugoslavia, and to re-expose it to the attention of general public, aiming to highlight all its timeless qualities, but also to put emphasis on the importance of the social context which had given birth to them. By producing the entire exhibition, we have undergone an interesting process and discovered the entirely new layers of our own creativity.
