I was tasked with the project of designing eye-catching and informative film festival posters that would have a dramatic appeal to entice the local community and tourists. These posters were printed in different sizes, some as large as 5 feet tall and were installed all around the small Southern California town of Idyllwild. These posters showcase my abilities in digital imaging and photo composition, which is much more than smashing together a bunch of stock images and calling it a digital collage. The compositional content, colors, tones, and textures all play an important and intertwining role in coming up with a successful final image. In addition, since these posters were also used for a variety of sizes and outputs, the layered file had to be versatile enough to handle different crops and sizes which added another level of sophistication to what were already very complex digital files.
