Class assignment was to create a flat pack lamp - I wanted to create character driven concepts with simple assemblies.

The bird-like lamp recieved the most positive reactions, and the articulation of the joints was an opportunity for flashy hardware. Below is a test of the light with a paper lampshade.

The final lamp. Flat packed with a small felt bag. The lampshade is felt with a white felt lining to refract more light. The hardware is two thumb screws for each articulation to make it easy to adjust. The wood is endgrain plywood (handmade) with painted edges.
