Promotional material – Chrysler Museum Glass Studio
This is a set of promotional materials created specifically for the November, 2011 Grand Opening celebration of the Chrysler Museum of Art’s new Glass Studio. The goals of these materials were to inform the museum members about the special "Sneak Peek" event, and generate interest in for attending the events and becoming personally involved.
The Members' Sneak Peek Week flyer conveys what visitors would experience during their visit. The colors chosen complement the photos, and the layout has a smooth flow, making it easy for the eye to follow. For the Grand Opening flyer, the design grew around a central photo along with the other elements. The circle element is a key part of this design, coming directly from the fire bloom in the main photo. Finally, adding a white frame around the entire design keeps it cost-effective. The final piece, the Members’ Challenge ballot, generates interest in the Glass Studio. The goal was to solicit votes from the members on the subject of nine photos of actual glass art pieces. A soft accent color was added to create contrast. The design was simple and straightforward, yet attractive and easy to follow.
