was born out of a desire to bring together 10 artists from around the world for whom drawing is a vital part of thier artistic practice in order to explore the range of aestheics and process within a given set of limitations.
The 10 participating artists produced a suite of 100 inter-connected drawings. Each participating artist made 10 drawings, in a 10cm x 10cm within a 10in x 10in square format— sharing the resulting drawings on tumblr over 10 sequential days as sets featuring 1 work from each artist. Each artist was given the same minimal rules as a departure point.
The set of images above represent my contributions to the project.
Participating artists:
Ryan Tippery (US), Jacob VanLoon (US), Fatma Al-Remaihi (Qatar), Tassia Bianchini (Brazil), Robert Malte Engelsmann (Germany), Matt Niebuhr (US), Michael Canich (US), Andi Baumgartner (US), Christian Villacillo (Canada), Kevin Townsend (US)
the full project was originally intended to be distributed via tumblr and can be viewed here on my blog: blog.sevenknotwind.com
