BRANDING GASTRONOMY
Client: Restaurant Trokay
 
John and Nyna Weatherson, the chefs of restaurant Trokay relocated from New York City to Truckee back in 2011. Their perspectives on food are sustainable, modern, ingredient focused, complex, technical, and extremely beautiful which brings no surprise that we saw eye-to-eye about the visual design of Trokay.
Modern, minimal, and precise is what we chose to key off of for the design of the restaurant’s logo, website, menu and studio food photography.
 
We also blind embossed the menus and business cards for a tactile feel and then replicated this minimal aesthetic within the tack-sharp and mouth watering images that we took.
Trokay has been featured in Tahoe Quarterly, Sunset Magazine, SF Chronicle and Edible as a great restaurant establishment.
