Identity for Capetonian architecture studio, L+L Architects, founded by Michael Lumby and Werner Lotz.
In L+L Architects’ practice, emphasis is placed on context. It is acknowledged that a building cannot be separated from its surroundings and therefore cannot be considered separately. Walls are porous and influence and affect flow freely through them. The visual identity relays this understanding; layers are not absolute as images pass through type, and a dense grid allows type to move with relative freedom while still relating to other elements of the layout.
