The name, Chicago Cultural Center, is represented by three Cs around a cube. The different shades comprising the Cs reference the building’s mosaic tiles— one of its many wonderful architectural details and an apt metaphor for the diverse programming and constituency of the Center. The letter Y formed by the cube edges represents the Chicago River as it used in the municipal device—helping to connect the Cultural Center to the Chicago civic government.
