“ I Am Your Labyrinth “ is a new multidimensional installation in which the artist once again uses mythological figures and references in advancing her in depth investigations of contemporary perception involving site, specificity, presence of the viewer, and notions of movement and experience as integral components of the work.
Comprised of differently sized tablets depicting the iconic Sleeping Ariadne statue from various angles and dispersed in both the real and a replica scale model of the gallery space in a seemingly explosive outburst, as it were erupting from the diverging perspectival gaze of the viewers, she presents us with an instantaneous bird’s eye and linear views wherein the shifting centrality and relations between the observer and the work and the varying spatial outlines of their exchange is brought to the fore.
