Biola University's Associated Students recently decided to rebrand their student government and separate from their event coordination offices. The new Associated Student's will be known as SGA (Biola University Student Government Association). The logo needed to appeal to a modern campus community, known for their high quality production of work, events, and leadership. The eagle was chosen from the campus mascot, however it was created to divert from the representational and invite abstract forms in order to inspire multiple interpretations.
Movement was significant to the design, to communicate intiative and action.
The dark blue was chosen in lieu of the infamous Biola red to create a more authoritative brand apart from Biola's other student led organizations. SGA will have an authoritative role among student life on campus, however it will still integrate with Biola's mission and character values, being wholly a part of the community and campus legacy.
