My entry for the live brief by 'This Is England 90'. The brief was to create a authetic, original 90's rave poster.

 

"I created this poster utilising a theory used to create original 90's rave posters; time, space and, predictably, trips. The typeface is Officina, designed in 1990 by Erik Spiekermann, using a risograph printer, which was contemporarily used to print 'zines and posters.

 

The quote, of course, is MLK. I have twisted the original context to exemplify how raves brought people from different walks of life together. All elements of the poster have a contextualised meaning, but I will leave that for your own interpretation..."
