4th Story Contest about the Environment (Gijón, 2015)
Libro ilustrado recopilatorio de los cuentos ganadores del IV Certamen de Cuentos sobre Medio Ambiente, convocado por el Ayuntamiento de Gijón, presentado con motivo del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente (5 de junio de 2015), durante su celebración en el Jardín Botánico Atlántico.
Su cuarta edición ha sido, un año más, un éxito. Hoy, 5 de junio de 2015, se ha presentado el libro que reúne los 17 cuentos premiados e ilustrados, seleccionados por un jurado de entre los casi cuatrocientos presentados. Aquí, alguna de las ilustraciones que he desarrollado para una obra de edición a mi cargo (112 páginas, encuadernación al cromo con lomo recto), íntegramente impreso en papel reciclado.
Cada categoría corresponde a un ciclo educativo. En cada caso he buscado un pequeño giro a mi trabajo de ilustración, tanto en la manera de abordar la relación entre texto e imagen, como en la disposición, maquetación y tratamiento técnico y plástico.
Full illustrated book, compiling the winning tales in the 4th Story Contest about the Environment (promoted and published by the Gijón City Council), and presented during the celebration of the World Environment Day (June 5th, 2015) in the Botanic Garden of Gijón.
This 4th call has been, once again, a complete success. Today, June 5th (2015), was presented the illustrated book, with the 17 winning tales, selected by a jury from nearly four hundred tales presented. Here, some of the artwork that I developed for this carefully edited book (112 pages, hard cover binding with straight spine), entirely printed on recycled paper.
Each category corresponds to each education stage. On each one I tried to adapt and work my style in different conditions, trying to search different ways to address the relationship between text and image, as in the arrangement, layout and technical and aesthetic treatment.
