Protection is a range of high-end garments that are aimed towards the sophisticated and fashion forward consumer. This collection has focused on how we, as a nation feel protected in our day to day lives which later evolved to incorporate global warming and how we can protect our planet. The inspiration for this collection has come from ideas of personal protection and protecting our planet. Looking back throughout history at the concept of protection has really influenced this collection, particularly concepts around feminism, women’s rights, and societies idea of protection. These ideas have developed in to draped and layered fabrics that wrap and protect the body. A range of jerseys have been used throughout the collection to represent the softness and comfort that protection can bring. Whereas the colour within this collection has been kept to cooler, more subtle tones as to not distract from the loss of the world’s protection with pollution and global warming.
