Social Butterfly is a campaign to help people to do their part to save endangered UK Wildlife. The campaign has an app which is completely free to download which helps you to do your part, containing things such as ways to make animal homes and feeders out of recycled objects and a social networking site so that you can talk to other Social Butterflies. The app also has a camera so that you can take photos of your creations and upload them onto the app, uploading them onto the app also allows them to be shown on interactive billboards which are playing the campaign with your name.
The logo is simple, I wanted to to fit the name perfectly but still have a slightly playful charm. The letters "S" and "B" Which stand for Social Butterfly and formed together to create a butterfly. Then a speech bubble is surrounding the shape to create the social side.
The main campaign poster. The slogan of the campaign is "Let's put the pieces back together". So I used Geometric animals of the endangered animals broken up into pieces to look shattered, giving you the illusion that you need to put the pieces back together like a puzzle. The grass and background is to bring the Geometric animal back into its natural habitat to bring it closer to home.
Second poster is exactly the same as the first poster but of a different animal, i wanted to keep the poster the same but to change the animal so that they differ in some way.
Here is a mock up of the actual app. The app contains a lot of information to help you to become a Social Butterfly. It also includes each screen to help you to understand the layout. The app has been created with simplicity in mind but to also be a social networking sight to that you can talk to other people. One great tool that the app has is a create and make section which allows to look at lots of different ways to create either animal homes or feeders out of recycled objects, this is a great, simple and easy way to get you to do your part to help save endangered animal wildlife.
