It is harder for Asians than Americans to embrace and accept second-hand items. This is especially the case for the older generations because of their strong cultural differences. There are, however, a lot of benefits to buying second-hand and this is a prime time to educate younger generations in Taiwan.
My thesis is to create a second-hand retail and online store that will sell high-quality second-hand and repurposed items. We will educate people about the benefits of buying second-hand as well as sell second-hand and repurposed goods. These repurposed goods are made from recycled or vintage items. We think this is a great way to differentiate ourselves and demonstrate reuse.
