Design Task - Zyliss Manual Food Processor
Objective:
To create a new lid housing shell and handle for the Zyliss version of the Swizzz Prozzz Food Processor mechanism.
The design needs to be built around the internal components / technical specification.The design needs to take strong queues from the Zyliss design language. Particular attention need to be placed on the egonomics of the handle & lid: How the handle fits in the users hand – for optimum comfort and ease of use (shape, contours, angles). How the handle stores away against the body of the unit. Consider whether the lid can be designed to accommodate the ‘holding’ lid action It is also important to ensure the design is unique to Zyliss and stands apart from the competition
All regulatory and other requirements here – including market specific, 5 year warranty against product failure, breakage of parts and corrosion; All materials to be EU and FDA complaint.

Design Solution
The intention behind the design of the Zyliss Easy-Pull Food Processor was to create a kitchen tool that delivers and very easy to handle. Main consideration was around unique handle to ensure that user have the full control over the action and it will be obvious how to use the product. Triangular shape took place so the user can place the whole palm around it and have full grip of the handle as the chopping action might require some physical force.
Manually operated through the use of an easy grip handle, minimum effort is required to process the food at varying degrees.
Easy to clean and operate, its usage shorten the time needed for manual chopping or by an electrical device.
Final Product:
Easy Pull is a manual food processor which makes food preparation effortless. A versatile tool for chopping, preparing, blending and pureeing ingredients. The Easy Pull can be used to make sauses, smoothies, bread crumbs, dips, salads and even ice cream! Effortlessly chops onions, carrots, garlic and much more...
Step One - Place the food into the bowl and put the lid on top.
Step Two - place you other onto the lid to hold product in position
Step Three - Take the handle in the other hand and pull it towards you
Step Four - Keep pulling the handle until desired result
