The Taj Project
To brief was to create an illustration based on the Taj Mahal (Agra, India).
The patterns and styles take inspiration from Indian art styles of Henna (mehendi), zentangle artforms.
The entire artwork, including the monument was made by hand using digital tools
such as a wacom intuous 4 and design softwares like photoshop for final touch-ups.

The sun-like shape behind the monument is symbolic of the light and majestic effect of the monument itself - the divine energies. The flowing landscape is to emphasis the constant motion of the universe, time and our lives.
