WELCOME!
 
We are Martyna Hajduk and Dominika Czuber, 3rd year students of computer games designing in University of Silesian.
We would like to present the project, which we have been developing for a long time. 
It’s a computer game called “Handy Hotel”, which combine elements of the grotesque and horror.
WORLD:
 
The game will be surprising, because of strange twists of plot. At the same time the game will engage our sympathy,
through computer graphics and the temper of characters.
We would like to keep our game in gloomy cartoon style. In the same time we would like to apply comics simplification and toned color. When we have been creating a world, ours inspiration were Tim Barton’s works and Stephen King’s literature.
The game resembles drawn nightmare.
The place where we get in at the beginning looks normal. During playing the game mood is changing into more surreal.
Our purpose is to gain gamer’s emotions by deformations of the space. Some of places will be very giant, some of them very tight. Even outside space will be limited by hotel walls.
The World counts against us all the time, it’s our main enemy. Environment seems to be alive and responds for our behavior. The motion of the World is according to our decisions, which we will make in the game.
MAIN CHARACTERS:
 
In the game we personate policeman named Roland. As a result of unfortunate coincidences, he is entangled in the intrigue. The last thing that he remembers is the fact that he was shot. During playing the game we are exploring Roland’s history and the world in which we found him. We can also accompany a holder called Timmy, which is our guide, protector and necessity for solving some mysteries. Many times we will embody this character that allows us to access the places where Roland can’t get in.
 
WHAT WE ARE PLANNING :
 
Till now we achieved only a small percent of our huge project. We are planning to extend our design by introducing
breath-taking locations and colorful characters.
We are working on creation of a surrealistic city, closed in hotel room. It will be multileveled town hung in the air. System of the streets will be changing spontaneously .
While playing, the gamer will have an opportunity to get to know closer the citizens and explore their history.
This project is only a prototype of what we want to achieve.
In the near future we would like to finish our demo and continue to hard work on this game.
