Madda flew Milan to Montreal, her only bag was carry on, but she still packed a piece of her ex. We pour our affection into objects until an H&M tshirt has a hold on us, we continue to love them long after the reason for that love is gone.
That part of our beloved becomes a part of ourselves – and still we worship it/hate it like it belongs to someone else. Finally we forget it, leave it in a closet, find something(someone) new to idolise.
But for those who like a clean break, I recommend some lighter fluid and matches.
