Manobras no Porto

Manobras no Porto
graphic design for city event, Porto, 2011

CONCEPT
The project was inspired by the spontaneous activities of "Manobras no Porto" always on the move inside the city, aiming at a global and coherent proposal for the event: functional, easy, flexible and visually stimulating raising public curiosity - residents and tourists - to discover the city as they unfold the events program. In the end, the public should have their own image of the city.
The concept reinterprets the plastic tape use to mark public areas or places that cannot be crossed by public at specific points in time like construction, events sites, crime scenes. The tape is used as a metaphor for the public to intervene/discover the city.Simultaneously is a very flexible and practical system easy to construct, change and be appropriated by the public. We presented a global proposal for the event:
A-Installation at Miradouro da Sé, B-Installation at Miradouro da Vitória, C-Dispersed Installation and D-Signage System to achieve a coherent and homogenized proposal.
