Between style and material experimentation, this project has given birth to a unique linen fibre composite. 

The use of composite materials provides unique and creative options for new furniture in terms of the variety of shapes, textures and innovative applications. Nevertheless, the ecological and health-related impact associated with such materials remains problematic. A composite based on natural materials is a solution and the linen has excellent mechanical properties.

 

This fiber, which comes from a variety of plants, is one of the most durable natural fibres available today and it’s characteristics are equal to or greater than fibre glass. 

From the aesthetics perspective, its design are minimalistic. The contours of the Katra reflect the intrinsic qualities of its constituent material, including durability and lightness, provided within a formal context which only composites can achieve.
