Adopting Britain, 70 Years of Migration
Southbank Centre

This exhibition highlights some of the personal stories of migrants and refugees, celebrates the contribution of migrant groups to Britain’s artistic landscape and opens up discussion around one of the most politically sensitive and current topics.

Participation points, immersive audio-visual displays, large contextual graphics and bespoke exhibition furniture are layered together to create a multi-faceted visitor journey.

Exhibition graphics, inspired by the overly didactic formats of official immigration forms, are balanced by large photographic veils which define the exhibition sections. Backlit signs call out each exhibition section and glow through the layer of the photographic veils.
