The re-growth seed

This seed packaging was created from a fictional brief for my final major project (Year 3).

It is based on the concept of developing gravestones into trees. The reason for this is to help the UK continue to grow and to bring a little bit of beauty into the world.

I wanted to change a death from a negative to a postive. Gravestones as an object can be seen as grey, decaying and covered in moss. My idea is to develop the use of gravestones to a tree. This allows the person to plant a seed in the ground and watch the see turn into a growing living tree. As the tree grows the memory of the loved one grows with it.

Not only does the tree allow the family and friends to come and visit. It allows them to use it in the same way a gravetone is used. It also helps the UK grow from all the urban surroundings/pollution, as well as helping animals and insect live and continues the beauty of the UK.

The design of the sticker keeps the tradition and heritige of the UK, but I have created it in a fresh, modern way to engage with the audience and keep the seed packet attractive and postive.
