Mothers Day Brunch originated from a card for my mom for mothers day. It was that time of the year and I we weren't in the same state, so taking her out for brunch wasn't in our favor. I still wanted to do something nice for her, but flowers can get expensive. I decided to make a custome card inspired by her favorite flower, calla lilies.
Prelimnary sketches
I gathered inspiration from the flexibility of the plant, focusing on the curve of the stem. I wanted to give the essence of a brunch by making the flower memic the siloette of a stemless wine glass. like their charm and casual, everyday vibe that says 'relax and enjoy!'
