Lonely Planet is the world's largest travel book guide publisher. Pulling from modernism and Swiss design, the magazine follows a diagonal grid system and stands out from other travel magazines visually. A low vibrance color scheme is employed to allow for integration of imagery into the grid system without becoming overpowering. This redesign features Cumberland Island with words by Guy Trebay and photographs by myself.
A copy of the issue is also available for the iPad in vertical format. This digital publication features an interactive interface with simple swipe movements to navigate between pages along with a tap to view options for the imagery.
