For Andrew Watel's Painting II class, we were asked to develop a series of observational paintings. I chose to represent various seed pods from RISD's Nature Lab because I enjoy their shapes and earthy colors. Eventually, in order to graduate from the typical "still-life" setting, I chose to hang a few of the pods and paint them.
