ZEN AND THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY
This image features one of the friends I go on my photo journeys with. It also features one of our favorite types of locations - spaces in transition, often abandoned or forgotten.
These spaces often provide a sense of mystery and the spiritual that is frequently found in cathedrals. They inspire quietness, meditation and solemnity.
The scale alone can cause one to be awestruck sometimes.
This wall (along with the one behind us) provided several individual abstracts featured below.

Sandusky is a lakefront city on the southern coast of Lake Erie. I would be remiss in this journey if I didn't have at least one image of the water. :-)

20 SOMETHING
A small out building that's been abandoned for some time. The fence around the property was rusted so bad it was starting to fall down and large sections were missing. Naturally I took the liberty to checking inside. The building didn't have much inside pretty vacant. There was a large brick building on the premises that was also abandoned but no way in. The windows were high enought that I couldn't get a look inside. One can only imagine ......maybe some secret government testing lab from a bygone era.....or maybe not.....hahahaha.
LITTLE ECO DREAMS IN THE CHARRED VALLEY OF DARKNESS
Actually this is just door mat that was outside the brick building mentioned above. I'm always amazed at how easily, readily and sneakily nature reclaims items and spaces when we are done with them. This is an example of some sneaky organic matter finding space to grow in the cracked, corroded and decaying rubber mat.
