/ CLIENT CHALLENGE Every year Colorado Springs non-profit, Kidpower, hosts a fund raising gala called the Chocoholic Frolic. In previous years, the organization didn't have budget to hire a professional designer. For 2015, Kidpower wanted to hire a professional to design the invitations and signage in hopes to gain higher attendance and elevate the brand of the event. // INSIGHT I had to work with an extremely limited budget and utilize the stock photograph that was already purchased and sent out on a save-the-date card. I was inspired by the elaborate seals, ribbons and typography used on the packaging design by fine chocolatiers. I used an ice blue as I felt it would provide a compliment to the rich chocolate browns and provide a contrasting cooling effect to the warm huges. Finally, I added a shine to the Chocoholic Frolic wording to make it look as if it were filled with liquid chocolate. I also had to create signage for the event that would inform the public about Kidpower's work and follow the event theme of "Wish Upon a Star." The signage needed to have its own branding, separate from the invitation package. // DELIVERABLES Invitation and Envelope RSVP Card and Envelope Thank You Card and Envelope eMail Invitation Poster Signage for the Event // ROLE Art Direction Design and Layout Pre-Press Production Project Management Email Design, Layout and HTML Read Less
