2015 “The Year Of The Gift” my first AfrikaBurn journey. The main thing that stands out for me was the feeling of being extremely moved and inspired by the artists who took all the time and effort to create magnificent installations. Honouring their process we are contributing a photographic essay to 3 selected artists.

 

One such artist is Verity Maud. She and her team created “Metamorphosis” a temple for transformation. “A sacred space for burners to burn all that no longer serves them, to honour their journey and those that have journeyed on.” 

I could not stay to the end to see the burn of this particular art piece.
