The intent of this project was to improve the Downtown Fort Collins experience through cohesive and unique wayfinding. Downtown Fort Collins lacked a cohesive vision for wayfinding in the downtown district and also wanted to encourage more people to access the ample parking located in garages downtown. Ms. Kramer designed a signage system including vehicular directional, pedestrian directional, historical markers, and other sign types with a distinct identity unique to the historical and progressive character of Downtown Fort Collins. This signage system will improve both the local and visitor experience when visiting downtown. The parking signage will not only help visitors locate parking, but also visually improve the current look of the downtown parking structures. The signage system is currently being installed in phases.
