    For this particular project, I made a wooden diorama with frames that are interchangeable. In this way, the viewer can interact with the object and control the sequence in which the events takes place. By working with the natural world, I created 3d images using found materials that were provided in the environment that surrounded me – I used sticks, leaves, cotton, wire, newspaper and things that are considered ‘trash’ to tell a story of a journey of sorts. It plays with the relationship between that which is man-made and that which is provided by nature. The ideal behind the diorama is to encourage interaction between the object and the participant – it consists of various layers and asks the viewer to take a closer look and interact with it. It is not merely a flat image, therefore engaging the sense of touch as well as sight. Read Less
