THE BRIEF

I was set the task to find a fact about Stoke-on-Trent and the to turn that into a visual outcome. My fact was "there are 77 miles of cycle paths throughout Stoke-on-Trent". For this I decided I wanted to have a bike expressing the proposition within it's frame and decals

After lots of experimenting I started to build the frame

The frame was completed and handed in for marking, in my review it was said the 77 written within the frame was difficult to read. So I decided to have another go, this time creating a full ridable bike.

The Brief:
To design a marketing tool to promote latest range of uncoated black papers and boards: Sirio Ultra Black

About the paper:
Sirio Ultra Black is the newest addition to our product offering and is considered to be one of the darkest black papers on the market (even 20% darker than our very own Sirio Black/Black).

The absence of the carbon pigment within the paper means that gold, silver and metallic hot foils can be applied without any issues. The carbon pigment within black papers can often be the cause of oxidation or a speckled appearance when applying hot foils in particular shades, instead a special dark colorant has been used in Sirio Ultra Black to achieve deep value darkness.

Idea:
To create a range of posters taken from “dark” paintings to emphasise the new papers being the darkest on the market. Highlighting the darkest part of the image and making that 20% blacker than the rest of the painting, with the strapline “Sirio Ultra Black: Who’s have thought it could get any blacker?”

The Brief
To design a company Annual Report and Accounts, that is more creative and individual to the company itself, rather than the normal stereotypical corporate 'look'.

UFO Association

The Idea

To create the report in invisible UV sensitive ink, therefore looking like a blank document to the average person but once put under black light the information will become clear. The thought behind this is that UFO's are seen as highly secretive with not much information being let out about them.
