Stoneybatter Residence

Project Description - Stoneybatter residence is a small artisan house situated in Dublin City Center. The house had functioned and was exhausted as a student rental property and the owners wanted to look at a new way of using the property and deciding to go down the short term boutique rental route. In order to enter into this competitve market the house needed to be completely stripped back and given a new lease of life. The brief focused on a requirement to create a fresh contemporary experience which would be easily marketed to potential guests. The existing layout and interior was extremely tight so the stud wall in the hall was removed opening up the front room into an airy living space. This leads into a dining room adjacent to the exisitng kitchen space greating a connectivity bewteen all the living spaces. The palette was kept very neutral with a crisp scandinavian monotone feel with pops of colour introduced through textiles and accessories. Attention to detail and creating character was vitally important for marketing the property online so the tight budget was stretched to it's limit.
