Project365: Through The Lens, Part 1/2

This week's theme "through the lens" is, as you guessed it, about what appears in the lens - playing "I Spy" with the miniature scene within a scene.

I had seen a few of these photos before and thought they were quite interesting, but I never could seem to figure out how to see through the lens (and was too lazy to research it).  Just the other day, I had an epiphany, and sure enough was able to open the aperture.  Sometimes it takes a couple years to realize things, lol.

Let's give this a whirl and see if I can come up with a decent shot each day.  Doing manual focus with one hand is going to be tough!
Day 691 [5-11-15] "I Spy a Lake" - The world in my hand.  Thermalito Diversion Pool, Oroville, CA.
Day 692 [5-12-15] "I Spy a Flower" - When capturing flowers, a camera is my weapon of choice.
Day 693 [5-13-15] "I Spy Three Barns" - Golden dreams.  Durham, CA.
Day 694 [5-14-15] "I Spy Power" - A place in the clouds.
Day 695 [5-15-15] "I Spy a Car" - A pocket-sized mirror image.  Cherokee Rd in Oroville, CA.
Day 696 [5-16-15] "I Spy a Train" - I was completely unprepared for this one - to the point of playing chicken with the train, as it came around the bend.  I hopped off and scrambled to capture an image.  It's not fully in focus but pretty darn good for on-the-fly manual focus.
Day 697 [5-17-15] "I Spy Something Up High" - Watching the needle fall.  A radio tower in Oroville, CA.
