Design Entrepreneur Showcase Radial Studies

I achieved reaching for an audience of local design agencies by creating a hierarchal structure of content that would create a clear message this group of people. The design is clean and minimalistic. The participants, description of the show, the title, when, and where are the highest in terms of hierarchy. The list of names is meant to be one of the most recognizable elements because design agencies are most likely looking for individual names of potential employees.

Similar to Part One, I chose local design firm agencies to be my audience. The content that most stands out is the title, description, participants, when, and the where. Since I felt like the “where” was a crucial aspect to design agencies, I included the image of the Kenilworth building where the showcase will be taking place.

The audience of this poster is to the general public which means I have to appeal to a large number and a variety of people. The most important information would be the title, description, the date, and the showcase logo. The logo is important because the general public should become familiar with correlating the logo to the showcase.

This design would be great for hand delivering to local high schools and universities. The type treatment in this part specifically does a great job of creating type texture and communicates the most important content to the audience. I chose to have two right angle axes, asymmetrical to each other from each page to create an appealing design. The wide variety of colors is used to engage the viewer and the rays move your eyes across from one page to the next.

This more professional looking design would be good to show to different schools of different education at UWM. These schools would be interested in what is going on with the Design and Visual Communication program. This design was meant to be simple and to follow the grid making a very clean design. I chose to have one color of different transparencies to really show the texture of the text.
