The first project I worked on this semester was a highlight tape for the New York giant’s Odell Beckham Junior. Since I knew this wasn’t going to be my most complex, difficult project of the semester I mainly focused on resharpening my skills and proficiency in the program. I spent a lot of the time relearning all of the shortcuts and tools in the program. I learned some of the most basic tools and shortcuts during this project like the split shortcut and the render shortcut. Another major factor of creating video that I learned through this project was how important the song was. I learned that the first step in creating a video is to decide what song you want to use because if you don’t choose a song before you add and edit the video then it won’t sync up and the video could be ruined.
This project was made for Middle Creek High School's wrestling team. I made this project with one of my peers, Evan Campbell, for my the wrestling coach. This was the first time that someone had come up to us and asked us to do a project for them for an event so it was really the first time we had to work with a definite deadline. A major problem we had to account for was that there was very little footage and the footage that was available wasn't shot well and was in poor quality. Using certain types of zooms, effects and animations the low quality footage is more eye pleasing.
