Sometimes, the most important life lessons are the ones we end up learning the hard way. True enough. But, another truth is that some of the crucial life lessons can be learned from cartoons as well, believe it or not.

Cartoons, in general, are synonym for entertainment, pleasure and laughter. Entertainment hides a lot of values within, but it is an undeniable fact that children, even grownups who still enjoy watching cartoons, can learn big things about life itself. Simply put, cartoons come with moral and huge life lessons to follow, which make life simpler, easier and of course, more beautiful.

I guess, we all remember the Saturday morning cartoons on TV, when all we wanted to do is have our breakfast in bed while watching the favourite cartoon. We may have grown up and today we are completely engaged with the fast and hectic life we lead, but the truth is that we have never forgotten the lessons we have learned from our childhood cartoon-memories.
Are you interested in going back in time and ‘revise’ our cartoon memories? If so, be prepared for a beautiful journey that will certainly keep you feel good for the rest of the day. Here are some of the major life lessons cartoons taught us.
Perseverance and tenacity is the key to success.
Do you remember the desperate Wile E. Coyote and his countless, disastrous attempts to catch the smart road runner? I bet you do. Well, ‘Road Runner’ is one of the cartoons worth watching, because thanks to it, we have learned that no matter how unbelievable or unreachable it might seem, we should never give up from pursuing our goals. If we keep pursuing our dreams and goals with a never-ending zeal, we will finally get our long-desired reward. Just like the persistent Wile E. Coyote, who finally catches the fast road runner in the last episode. Hence, it seems like his effort and many failed attempts have finally paid off.
Hard work and perseverance will take you a long way.
This is the life lesson we have learned from the action-avanturistic cartoon, ‘Dragonball Z.’ The little, smart and strong Gohan is definitely one of the most popular cartoon character names, that  we will all remember as the most powerful saiyajin ever. Gohan will forever remain in our childhood memories as the cartoon superhero that never gives up and is constantly pushing himself. Regardless of the number of times he was beaten, defeated and destroyed - Gohan was always finding the indescribable inner strength that was making him even more determined and stronger than before.
Things are usually not what they seem at first.
If you have read this true life fact and Scooby Doo is the cartoon you have associated with it, then you have been definitely one of the biggest fans of this famous cartoon character. Going back in the beautiful ‘Scooby Doo era’, we will remember that in practically every episode of this amazing cartoon, the criminal (final culprit) was never the one we were thinking it was during the whole time. Therefore, the life lesson #1 that Scooby Doo and his friends taught us is to not have fallacious opinions and predispositions about people. But, this cartoon taught us something else too. Life lesson #2 from the Scooby Doo cartoon is to be problem solvers. What does it mean? Scooby Doo and his Mystery Gang were always solving every mystery from every adventure they have been through. Thus, we learned that whenever we get helpful and stuck with something, it is always a good idea to ask help from someone else.
Have goals in life.
Life without goals is absolutely not challenging and not interesting to live, and we should all agree with this. This is what Batman was demonstrating us each time we were seeing him on the TV screen during his crime fighting. Batman’s teaching is: ‘For a successful life, always have a set of goals ready that you can follow and start pursuit now!
Trust your gut instincts.
Is there anyone that hasn’t watched even an episode from the awesome ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’? Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo perfectly showed us that no matter the fear, no matter the uncertainty – always be guided by your inner voice, thus your gut instincts. This is how these four ninja turtles were managing to get out of troubles and successfully solve any of their mystery missions. So, whenever you are in the middle of a trouble and you feel that something is right or wrong – you need to trust your gut instincts.
It is okay to fail.
Life does not come with instructions. An absolute truth. Disappointments and failures are part of life and as soon as we accept is, the better for us. Watching ‘Super Friends,’ showed us that apart from victories, there were also battles where the Super Friends were defeated by their enemies. But, the most amazing thing about that is that no defeat and failure stopped Super Friends to come back and save the day. The moral of this cartoon is: ‘Whenever you fail in life, dust yourself off and get back up!’
