I got given the date when Penguin Books got taken to court for republishing the book 'Lady Chatterley's Lover'. It was first banned for containing swearing and sexual content, however in the 60's this should have no longer been an issue, yet they were still taken to court. The repeated swearing on the front cover highlights the fact that in todays society many swear words are used out of context and do not mean what they meant originally. The soap with the swear word on it highlights the fact that some swear words still have a stigma attached to them and seem worse than others.
