The interior of the chapel of Saint John Paul II.

Note to the interior of the chapel of Saint John Paul II. in Bukovany near Kyjov, Czech Republic

We issued from visualization and drawings. The space appeared to be dissected. We wanted to unify it within the material so we chose
Carrara marble. It seemed to be the best choice for to get monochrome, clearest sacred space . For the benches we chose oak wood and combined it with marble on thrones in presbytery. We created the model andvisualizations. Due to the project presentation,
we have been chosen for the actual implementation.

The morphology of individual functional elements in the interior is based on the elementary geometrical shapes - triangle, circle and
square. We use one more material, clear and sandblasted glass (tabernacle, the sacrificial table, Ambon). The aim was to let evolve purity, refinement and depth of fine Carrara marble. The individual components of the interior are substantially unembossed, smooth and geometric.

The entire interior is unified white marble floor (square interleaved format 400x400 mm ). Line of dark marble leads through the center
of the whole chapel (format 400x800 mm). It is directed to the east. The oak benches are constructed in the lightest simple form so that keeps marble floor space open.
