Tasmania, Australia, is a cool temperate island, known for its unique flora and fauna. Anthony and Samantha will be residing in a beach home that overlooks the Tasmania Sea. The houses are spread apart with a lot of open land space (lawns) with a few trees, which provides each resident with a lot of privacy.
Both, Anthony and Samantha are into sustainable materials and believe in saving the environment.-Solar for home heating- they would want to use a solar liquid heating system as a heating system for radiant floor heating, since it can get cold in Tasmania.
-Energy saving products- Kitchen appliances, water saving products
-RainXchange Rainwater Harvest system- since it rains a lot in Tasmania, the couple wants to have a rainwater harvest system to save rainwater and use to water their plants and to integrate it to their existing landscape
Both of them would like to have certain aspects in their home to accommodate their needs and desires and they would like to feel a connection to the nature outside their home as well.
-Smart glass windows- because they want a lot of windows and glass in their home, having electrically switchable glass or glazing windows will be great to provide them with privacy
-Skylights- they couple want to get as much natural lighting as possible
-Open space- they would like the living room, kitchen, dinning room to be an open space—no Doors, but preferably a divider as a separator
-Rooms with multiple function- When they do have guest stay over, they would want the living room to have additional space for their guest to sleep. They want to have room in the living room for a air bed if they have many guest stay over.
- Master Bedroom- They would like an elegant, sunlit space that overlooks the backyard. Samantha would like different texture and combinations of creamy off white fabrics, trims, to give a luxurious space feel in the bedroom.
