Architectural Technology

Before I started Design at Magee, at University of Ulster, I studied a foundation degree in Architectural Technology in Millfield BMC, this course was 2 years long and was mainly focused on the materials and laws for buildings. Though we had 2 or 3 modules which were about designing houses which i really enjoyed especially when we got to make the 3D model of the house, so I finished the Arhcitectural Techology course and looked for one more heavily focused on 3D Design which is when I found the Design course at Magee.
The Pieces below are just some of the work that I was able to find on my computer, as most of it is from autoCAD and google sketchup which i do not have anymore.
This work above was for a module where we were asked to build a bungalow with a set amount of rooms and facilities in a small area, that was still usable. As you can see we had to provide measurements for everything and the 3D model was optional but I wanted to add it as I thought it really helps show off your idea, and others can visualize it.
For the 3D models above we had a task about making a building that had a purpose, like a hotel or hospital etc. so I picked a police station and made it more open because of the troubles that Northern Ireland had went through our police stations are all locked up and feel quite intimidating to approach so I wanted to make one that was based off police stations in other countries like America, were its very open plan and have big massive windows on them.
This piece above went along with the police station as I was attempting to build up a rough look of the buildings around it so people would know how it would fit into the surrounding area.
