Chorus Logo Contest Entry

My logo entry for my chorus program's design contest that won and is featured on the front of our chorus shirts. I used our school's colors and a fun, thick font that was easily readable when placed in the corner of a t-shirt. The contrasting black, white, and red, brought attention to the logo and also added to the readability. When the red words/symbols are read, it says "Chorus is #bae" which ties in our generation's use for Twitter hashtags and my class's obsession with calling chorus bae, because chorus is "before anything else" for many people in our class.
Since my design won in our class, my teacher asked me to make the logo for our leadership team that I'm part of; the Choral Communications Committee. Instead of using black, red, and white, the CCC decided to use purple to differentiate between the typical choral shirts and the leadership shirts. I also replaced the notes BAE with alternating C's because it represented the CCC and looked better than having all 3 C's on one line.
