For years now, OCTOBER SALON, a traditional international exhibition of modern art, has been one of the most prestigious events of this kind in the region. Having been entrusted with the task of creating their visual identity for this year’s exhibition held under the slogan of “Disappearing Things”, we wanted to combine our minimalist and understated approach with this provocative heading.
 
 
Inspiration for the visual identity was drawn from the very topic of this year’s salon. It puts an emphasis on the image of a void created as a consequence of the physical disappearance of a work of art. Authenticity of the empty space of the Belgrade City Museum made us reach an adequate solution in few easy steps. Almost invisible traces of some previous exhibitions provided the key elements for the visual interface of this year’s salon.
