For my logo I worked with letterforms of an existing font to create something bespoke and original, recreating every anchor point myself was quite a painstaking task.

I wanted to get across my skills subtly in the logo, thus I have incorporated the illustrator pen tool attached to the ‘I’ and the ‘H’. Working with the existing form of the ‘O’ I have made the ‘H’ and the ‘L’ flow around it.

In terms of colour I have settled on a vibrant but washed out pink and green combo that instantly grabs attention, it also looks great on a black background.
During the development stages I came up with various variations.
Below is an early version where I was looking at overlaying at different opacity’s to give it the effect of a 3D image when viewed without the glasses.
Making sure the spacing was correct and consistent around the ‘O’ was quite a task for me and involved using lots of guides as well as making adjustments by eye.
People often say I carry a deadpan expression on my face, so I have decided to incorporate this into my self-branding. A small illustration of my face can be found on the back of my business card looking up at you. My card is fun and this extra illustration really adds the 'pick up factor' I was looking for.
Below are some photos of my finished business cards, its nice to see my paper clone army take shape, the cards are fun and functional.

For the body copy I have used Archer Semi Bold, a Slab Serif font. I deliberately avoiding using a Sans Serif font as I felt it would take away from the personality and remove some degree of intrigue if a designer was to look at it.
This was a mock-up prior to print.
