Theories of Free Will

Using light & colour, choices are revealed & influence the pathway through the exhibit. The walls react to a randomly fading orb, lighting up in different colour patterns. However, when the orb is dark, the wall does not react, and the whole space is dark. This darkness forces users to realize that while they can choose their movements, but they are ultimately not in control of the environment.

The visual tone and manner is reminiscent of nebulas and galaxies, tying this piece to an overall theme of understanding and exploring the mysteries of the universe.

Scale model of users interacting with the space, holding orbs in their hands. This is showing the walls in a lighted environment for clarity, but the actual exhibit would be dark.
This project also yielded some beautiful photographs while I assembled the paper structures.
