Drac vs. Frank
The eternal struggle to finish
My Latest t-shirt design, this one for a charity. Created as a vector/sketch. Illustrator CS3.

I wanted to design something with a Big Daddy Roth feel while trying to say something about the charity's theme of 'MOVING FORWARD'.. which to me meant continuing to work regardless of personal trauma or distractions.
Dracula here represents death while Frankenstein represents life. One being undead and the other being reanimated I felt was a great opposition for my story. The eternal race to the end which none of us can win. The heart is the soul being electrified and bared to the world while the tentacles are the inspiration for me to create, with all of the decisions and choices that can be made.

This has been a very personal project and I'm happy with the outcome.
I hope you like it too!
My t-shirt mock-up. Kept the colors secondary for maximum impact. I think the humor of the shirt comes out in the placement.
My Dracula racer - wanted a simple newer car to show that Drac prefers modern comforts over classic design. Being immortal leaves him less interested in his history and more interested in where he's going next. Ultimately he will be the victor over Frank every time.. but the journey makes the story.
My Frank dragster drawing - very rough and I lost a bit of the energy of the sketch but I like how it turned out. Frankenstein in my mind prefers a classic older car; vintage to show his preference towards the story an antique tells. I like the idea that Frank wants to hold on to his history because he understands how quickly it can be taken away. Each rebirth he has leaves him less the person he was and more what others have made him.
